Getting Started - Read Me First!

Examples of Web 2.0 technology being used for social and business application are all around us. New technologies appear all the time.
Each student is responsible for writing two blog posts (total) (about 3-4 paragraphs long). Due dates are indicated in the calendar and correspond to the competence you are enrolled in. The two posts are further defined as follows:
  1. One of your posts will introduce the class to a new technology and its potential business application. This should not be a product summary cut and pasted from the product's website. Make connection to the readings and the tool's application in a marketing context.
  2. One of your posts must talk about how a company is using social media for marketing like the Wheat Thins campaign. There are lots of examples out there - look for them in bus shelters, train stations, radio broadcasts, etc. Describe the use as well as reflect on your impressions. Does this campaign make you more or less likely to purchase the product/service? Why/why not?
To get started, make sure you have accepted the invitation (it will be emailed to you via Blogger at the end of module 1. If you didn't get it email your instructor) and then click the link above to go to the Blog. Sign in and click on New Post. When you have completed your post - click Publish - that is all there is to it!
